Timo Schwedler

Once upon a time, to be exact on 5 November 1988, a little boy was born in a hospital in Wehrda (Marburg/Germany).

His hair was blond and his laughter delighted his family a lot. His parents gave him the name Timo.

Through his open and ingratiating nature he quickly found friends in his hometown: Wallau an der Lahn.

About the photographer

Once upon a time, to be exact on 5 November 1988, a little boy was born in a hospital in Wehrda (Marburg/Germany).

His hair was blond and his laughter delighted his family a lot. His parents gave him the name Timo.

Through his open and ingratiating nature he quickly found friends in his hometown: Wallau an der Lahn.

There he went to kindergarten and primary school and, after he had mastered these challenges, he dared bigger ventures. He joined the Städtisches Gymnasium in Bad Laasphe and in 2008 he made his A-levels.

Though he didn't fight with any dragons and didn't save any princesses during that time, he discovered the art of photography for himself.

Initially he limited his skills especially on nature and architecture. But soon he realised he could give a bit of joy and satisfaction to the people with his craft.

He took the graduation photos for his schoolmates and became aware that the photography of models filled his heart with joy. He invested in his equipment to meet his own demands. In 2009 he bought two new photographic objectives (Tamron 70-200mm und Canon f1.4/50mm).

The people thanked him by recommending his work kindly to friends and relatives. Over the years his degree of popularity increased continuously.

By buying the Canon 5D MK II, a new camera, he finally fulfilled a long-awaited wish.

Whether it was outdoor or studio photo shoots, Timos talent was much in demand. He was even booked for events more frequently. He was particularly proud of taking photos of the band Silent Seven with their lead singer Yana Gercke (candidate in the German TV show "Unser Star für Baku" and sister of German model Lena Gercke).

In the meantime he didn't only work on his artistic career, but also on his intellectual. At first he did the alternative civilian service at the Diakoniestation (charitable organisation of Protestant churches) in Biedenkopf. Because he wanted to learn a lot more from life, he went out into the big wide world. He moved to Landau to dedicate himself to educational science at the local university.

At the beginning of 2012 Timo bought his first Zeiss lens (Makro-Planar T* F2/100). Since then he is regularly booked for many shootings and people trust him with important events such as weddings and proms, because they can feel certain that he will capture these moments in an appropriate way for eternity.

And as Timo is still not dead yet, he is still alive nowadays and he is very eager to know what he is going to do next. So we wait and see how the life of the passionate, creative and intelligent photographer will continue. Maybe you will be a part of it?
